I find a helpful retention method to be looping audio. For example, I find it difficult when memorizing longer passages to remember what part comes next, so looping from the middle of this verse through the middle of the next one helps me form that connection between the two after 15 loops. The ability to set the start and end of the loop wherever I choose is very valuable.
I have another app that does this called AB Looper(made for slowing down guitar riffs), but it's very out of date and could stop working at any time. I'd love to see this used specifically for scripture memorization.
