When listening to Romans 6:2 is says 'live' with a long i (Live from Saturday night...) instead of with a short i (How can we who died to sin still live in it?).
Is this an app bug? How can this be fixed?
Thank you so much for this app. It has been incredible to use so far. Thank you thank you thank you!
Using Verses v2.0

Ryan,
Solid suggestions. Technically that is not a bug, but it certainly is not optimal behavior.
We very much want to improve the text-to-speech features in Verses, but it is a very significant undertaking. No one has quite yet perfected automatic text-to-speech (even Siri still sounds like a computer). So that leaves actual human narration, which is very expensive.
That being said, we definitely want to get to the point that we have human narration, though it will almost certainly be slowly (especially since every translation will require a new narration!).
Please keep the suggestions coming! And we're very glad that Verses has been helpful for you.

iPhone Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Speech -> English -> Alex
I have turned in the Speak Screen voices within the iPhone and they read much more life like and read it correctly. It's not within the app but you can swipe down with two fingers on the iPhone screen (top to bottom) and using the 'Alex' voice it sounds so much better than Siri. To use I go here
