Solid thought. We agree re: memory health notifications. We are working on a powerful feature that we're calling a memorization assistant. The assistant will include some behaviour like what you described, especially around scheduling your memorization, alerts when you need to memorize, overall progress tracking for all your memorization, and testing/quizzing your knowledge in sequence instead of requiring you to hop in/out of individual verses to practice.
As for the synchronization - it's actually almost instant, but the app only fully syncs on open and close. To ensure that your progress is fully synced between devices, simply close the app on the the currently active one and open it again - that will keep everything to date. (Same on the one that you use later - be sure to close and open the app.)
