Ideas for Verses

We need your help to make Verses even better!

Need the ability to edit the verse being memorized.

There are many examples of verses which I only want to memorize a specific part.  It would be nice to have the freedom to simply memorize the last half of a verse or a section from the middle of a lengthy verse.

2 Chron 20:20 I would like to only memorize the last full sentence:  "Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.” (ESV)

Psalm 50:15 I would like to not include the "and" beginning the verse:  "and call upon me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”  (ESV)

    Hey Rebecca! Unfortunately you can't do that just yet. Right now Verses doesn't support "partial" passages being added yet. Thank you for adding your thoughts here tho!

    This is an old post but our church has Bible quiz competitions with other churches and have to memorize scripture. A lot of their verse have a and b added to them. Like Genesis 4:7b or Genesis 22:16b-17a. How do I trim the verses down to have just the sections I need for them to study?

    I came here specifically to comment on this.  I am working on Eph 3:17-19, but want to pass on the first part of 17.  It’s the verse we chose to pray over our daughter and it’s so significant to us, but I want to memorize without the extra text.

    Would be great for my daughter who has simplified verses for awana because she’s ESL & special needs.

    like to not have to memorize the "for choir director" or "Psalms of David" for the verses in Psalms

    This would be helpful for children who are learning parts of verses and passages in Sunday School.
