One suggestion I would like to offer is to add reference numbers to specific verses in between passages - not just at the end of a passage when doing "Type Out." An on/off toggle would be the best way to please everyone.
I'm trying to memorize Romans 8 right now, and it's easy to get lost in the middle of 39 verses without being able to see which specific verse I am at. Also, in the long run, I'd love to have long passages of the Bible memorized so that if someone asked me what John 1:17 is, I wouldn't have to ramble a bunch of words in the middle ballpark of John 1, but that I would know which words of God specifically refer to verse 17. I think this would help in pastoral counseling or in my own personal life tremendously.
Love the app!
up vote … why has this stalled out? This is a must have for me to stay subscribed. Thank you for all your work.
Hi there, it would be great if the app would also test the bible reference and not just the text. Too often I know what the verse is but not know where it comes from!
This is a must have feature.
Also, adding verse reference to the tap to reveal would be good too.
I've been using Scripture Typer and have recently switched to Verses to try it out. So far it's been great. Adding the ability to type the verse reference number while memorizing/typing out the passage would be incredibly beneficial
Since memorizing verse numbers is actually the hardest part for me and a lot of people, having to actively memorize the reference sooner than the "type out" stage would be extremely helpful!
Upon the encouragement of my daughter, I have just purchased your app. It's very impressive. I would so appreciate it if you would add an option to allow numbers with the verses. Personally, I resisted doing this for a long time. After reading an article that John Piper recommends about memorizing, I decided to give it a try. I was surprised by how it enhanced my ability to orient myself in long passages and it does indeed help to locate key verses. So until you are able, I'll add the numbers on my own. Thank you for this excellent tool.
