Solid idea! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
We completely agree on this one. I've promoted your idea to a feature to be included in our development backlog. I'm not entirely sure how soon we will be able to include this feature (we'll have to figure out how to handle storing the audio files, whether we'll sync them to your account, among other things), but we'll figure it out!

Can you access the iPhone's own voice over service? I'd like mine read by my Aussie Siri voice. :)

This is a fantastic idea and it would eliminate the expense of professionally generated voice recordings for every verse of every Bible version. A user can replace the synthesized recording of any passage with his/her own voice. Or skip having the synthesized voice altogether and let the user record the passage, if desired.
