Thank you for using Verses and taking the time to send us your thoughts.
Currently we do not have any plans to add the ability to select subsections of a verse. We do our best to maintain a healthy balance between a customizable experience and one that offers too many options. We fear that allowing individual verse component selection down to the word level is a feature that is a little too specific for the vast majority of use cases within Verses.
That being said, we will keep your suggestion in mind if we revise the design principles behind Verses.
