Thank you for your interest in Verses!
It's funny that you should ask that. Our NIV is SUPPOSED to be the 2011
revision, but we have found out from user reports that what's actually in
the app right now is the 1984 version--the publishers accidentally sent us
the wrong file. Right now we're advertising the NIV as the 2011 revision,
since that's what it will be after we correct it soon in a minor update. We
will have to see if we are able to offer the 1984 revision as a separate
purchase too.

We're actually working on this update currently. It will probably be about 4-6 weeks before we're able to finish parsing out the NIV 2011 text, submit the update to Apple, and get it live.
That being said, yes, if you buy the current NIV84 version in the app it will automatically switch to the 2011.
When is this update planned? If I paid for the NIV will I get the 2011?
