Hello Verses iOS Team,
I would like to request support for verse subsections when adding verses to a collection (for example, allowing entries such as John 3:16a or Psalm 46:10b).
Many commonly memorized or quoted passages use only part of a verse rather than the full verse. Allowing subsection references (a/b) would make collections more precise and better aligned with how these verses are often shared and memorized.
Here are a few typical examples that are frequently used as subsections:
John 3:16a — “For God so loved the world…”
Psalm 46:10a — “Be still, and know that I am God…”
Romans 8:1a — “There is therefore now no condemnation…”
Philippians 4:13a — “I can do all things through him…”
Proverbs 3:5a — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”
Supporting verse subsections would greatly enhance usability for memorization, teaching, and thematic collections.
