It would be great if you adjusted the type out game to detect adjacent letters as correct key presses. A lot of times accidentally pressing the wrong key forces mistakes and causes me to restart the whole verse.
For the time being we think that keystroke accuracy is an important part of recall assessment. We totally agree that there is some crossed wires insomuch as Verses tests both your memory of the verse AND your ability to type it in simultaneously, but we would prefer to have that crossover and risk error due to accidental key presses than to grant keystroke forgiveness and increase the likelihood that users learn less of the passage.
For that reason we're going to move this request into the Icebox.
That being said, we consider this an open question. If we have time to put further research into the rate of crossover for words starting with the same letter as an adjacent key for the previous word we will see if it would be possible to introduce keystroke forgiveness without compromising learning.
