Quick Blanks is somewhat similar to Tap to Reveal, but I find it much easier to learn a verse with Fighter Verses’ multi-level “Quick Blanks” game.
Key differences/features of Quick Blanks:
Rather than revealing one phrase at a time, Quick Blanks shows the entire passage, but with blanks.
There are multiple levels progressing from a few blanks to all blanks.
Each tap reveals one word at a time, rather than an entire phrase.
Which words are blanks changes each time you repeat the exercise.
This allows me to speed read the verse on the lower levels, guessing the next word almost at the same time as I tap. I don’t know why, but I find this much more helpful in memorizing. As I progress I find myself flying along almost just as fast even at the all-blank level.
So far, I haven’t had that experience with Type it Out (no blanks to hint at number of words in passage, approximate length of words) or Word Bank (word options shuffle with each word, so I find myself moving VERY slowly on this one. If I try to go fast, I end up tapping the wrong word because though the next word may be in the current word’s word bank, it often moves by the time I’m on the next word).
I’d be fine if this was just another mode to, or replaced the current Tap to Reveal implementation.
I’d also love to see Type it Out behave the same way (in regards to multi-level, fill in the blank), but with a keyboard for typing the first letter, rather than just tapping the screen.
